Obituary of Irene G. Marren-Bancroft

Irene G. Marren-Bancroft of Penfield passed away August 12, 2018 at age 90.  She was predeceased by her husbands, John F. Marren, Sr. and Melville W. Bancroft; son-in-law, Terrence P. McNamara; sisters, Beatrice L. Slattery, Theresa M. Swanson; brothers, George F. and Peter R. Sorel; brother-in-law, James F. Marren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Marren Griffin.  Irene is survived by her beloved children, John F. (Linda) Marren, Jr., JoAnne M. McNamara, Mary E. (Raymond) Jacobi, Kevin M. (Jennifer) Marren, Christopher J. (Susan) Marren; adored grandchildren, Shane (Heather Donahue), Stephanie (Andrew Francione), Sean (Bethany), Samuel (Mary Meloni) Marren, Laura McNamara, Raymond III (Arielle), Erinn (Abby Ostrom) Jacobi, Katherine (Mido Rekanovic), Ruth Marren, Talor Marren; precious great-grandchildren, Ella Gorzka and Alaina Jacobi; many nieces and nephews.  Irene is also survived by Mel's family, Suzanne (Len) Robinson-Lettau, Timothy (Karen) Bancroft, Deborah (Dean) Turner and their families.  She will be dearly missed by her loving companion, Richard Korn.

Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Penfield, Thursday 4-8PM.  Irene's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10:30AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 26 Mendon-Ionia Rd., Mendon, NY 14506.  In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to St. Catherine of Siena Church or the Development Department of the Alzheimer's Association, Rochester and Finger Lakes Chapter, 435 E.
