Gordon P. Tallie

Rochester-Age 84.  Devoted husband of the late Marcella Scherer Taillie for 57 years, passed into the loving arms of the Lord on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Friendly Home in Rochester.  Gordon was born in Rochester on March 25, 1934 to the late Harry Taillie and Marjorie Vinkey Lergner.  Gordon is survived by his children, Sheila (Nathan) Brightman of Rochester and John (Robin) Taillie of Southington, CT; his grandchildren, Amber Knox (David Rapp) and Ashley (Justin) Jagoda of Rochester; Darren (Sara) Taillie of Philadelphia, PA, Tara Tallie of Denver, NC and Casey (Kathryn) Taillie of Sussex, WI, his step-grandchildren, Matthew Brightman, Julia (Derek) Sulli, Angela (Chris) Marmo of Rochester and Elizabeth Brightman of Aberdeen, MD; brother-in-law, Karle Schlemmer of Rochester; cousins, Victor Vinkey of Rochester and Larry Taillie of La Conner, WA; great-grandchildren, Khai, Sage, Kenzi, Zachary, Maya, Jordan, Jackson, Samantha, Rylie and Charlie; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Gordon was predeceased by his brother Ronald Taillie; and step-father, Lloyd O. Lergner.

No prior calling.  A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Church, 2617 East Ave., Rochester, Saturday August 4, 2018 at 10AM.  Burial will follow in Ridge Chapel Cemetery in Williamson.  The family wishes to thank the staff and administration of the Friendly Home in Rochester for their compassionate caregiving.
