Obituary of Burke Barrett

Burke Barrett of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Rochester, NY passed away February 11, 2015 after 80 wonderful years of living. He was predeceased by his wife, Glenda (Shelhamer) Barrett; brother, Thomas Barrett. Burke is survived by his son, Burke (Mary); daughter, Nicole Barrett-Vespone; and their mother, Elke Barrett; step-children, Jeff (Annette) Hare, David Hare, Jeannine (Frank) DeRosa, Debra (Scott) Wild; grandchildren, Lucas, Marcus, Matthew, Brianna, Benjamin, Samuel, Jeffrey, Stephen, Christopher, Jillian, Michelle, Adrian, Carli, Parker and Eliza; sister, Kay (Don) Kasper; many nieces and nephews; recent companion, Jenny Beardsworth. Burke was a longtime employee of Bausch & Lomb and Kodak. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army. No prior calling. Burke's Memorial Service will be held at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Saturday 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider the Wounded Warrior Project in Burke's memory.
