Obituary of Carolyn G. McKenzie

Carolyn Goetsch McKenzie of Webster was born on January 24, 1938 in Wausau, Wisconsin. She died peacefully on February 4, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents Leland and Florence (Buntrock) Goetsch and her brother William Goetsch, all of Wisconsin. Carolyn is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law: Tara and Lou Germano of Webster, Shannon and Jack Schmidt of Baldwinsville, and Stacy and Brian Repman of Irondequoit along with her five grandchildren: Grace and Noah Germano, Alexander and McKenzie Schmidt, and Charles Repman. Carolyn graduated from University of Wisconsin at Madison and SUNY Oswego. Carolyn touched many students' lives as an English teacher at Liverpool Middle School from 1981 to 2002. She enjoyed reading, traveling, vacationing on Cape Cod, and spending time with her family. She volunteered for many years at the Webster Public Library and was past president of their Friends group. Friends may visit Jennings-Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Penfield, NY on Sunday, February 8 from 2-5pm. Memorial service to celebrate Carolyn's life and legacy will take place at United Church of Christ, Congregational, 570 Klem Road, Webster, NY on Monday, February 9 at 11am. The family requests you wear purple to honor her fight against Alzheimer's. Internment will be private.
