Obituary of Frank J. Palermo

Frank J. Palermo of Penfield passed away October 29, 2012 after a long illness. He was predeceased by his wife, Genevieve and parents, Frank and Anna Palermo. Frank is survived by his 3 children, Mary Jane (Marty) Rimmele, Annette Palermo and Frank Palermo III; 3 grandchildren, Frank Palermo IV, James and Ryan Horan; brother, Lewis (Nina) Palermo; several nieces and nephews, especially, Josephine Kehoe and Nettie Bennington. Frank was a very active member of St. Joseph's Church for 38 years. He served in St. Joseph's Social Ministry by collecting and delivering food and clothing to Mt. Carmel. He enjoyed cooking for many church events. He was a member of Legion of Mary for many years. He was a Third Degree Knight of Columbus and was honored in 1995 as Knight of the Year. The family would like to express sincere thanks to VNS Hospice Team Members, especially Kara and Stephanie; as well as loving volunteers, Fran, Marcia, Norma and Erika. A special thanks to Jim Gulley. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Penfield, Thursday 4:30-7:30 PM. Frank's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, will be private.
