Obituary of Joseph William Almekinder

J. William "Bill" Almekinder of Brighton passed away January 10, 2015 at age 95. Bill was a lifelong accomplished artist in both commercial and fine arts. His love of art was surpassed only by his love of family. He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Betty Jane. Bill is survived by 3 sons, William (Catherine), John (Linda) and Ed (Gwynne); 4 grandsons, Seth (Annie), Ethan (Jeannette), Jason (Sara) and Nathanael (Denise); 3 great-grandchildren, Liam, Eliza and Ciara; brother, Eugene (Marge); several nieces and nephews including special niece, Rosemary (Wayne) Van Derzell. Services will be held at a date and time to be announced. Those wishing may contribute to Trinity Reformed Church, 909 Landing Road North, Rochester, NY 14625 in Bill's memory.
