I first met Ron in 1985 through our mutual close friend Bill Lynch. It didn't take long for me to realize that Ron was a person of great character and genuine spirit. Ron truly listened, no matter what the topic. Sometime around 2012 Ron and Bill stopped in to visit us in Canton, Ohio while they were on business in Ohio. My wife and 2 children quickly saw Ron's true warm character and charm, despite his obvious physical problems. Ron is that special person and will be missed. We're fortunate to have know him, if only for a brief while. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Dee, Bill (Wamper), Gary and the rest of his close friends and family.

I met Ron at the SPOHNC support group. He was one of the first people who introduced himself to me when I went there for my first time. He was such a sweetheart and I am so sad about this unfortunate event. I looked up to him and I really wish i would have gotten the chance to talk to him more. My prayers are with his wife and his family.
