Obituary of Mary R. Marchese

Mary Ruby Marchese of East Rochester was born March 10, 1913 and passed away April 9, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas C. and Jessie Greer ruby; brothers, Justin, George and Martin Ruby; sisters, Genevieve Krickmire and Margaret Suarez. Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary Summers of Roanoke, VA and Paula Marchese of East Rochester; 8 grandchildren, David, Gregory, Joseph, Thomas, James and Mark Summers, Mary (James) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Rebecca and Noah Taylor, Madeline, Grant, Maeve, Joseph and Ian Summers; special nieces, Ann Cigna and Mary Ellen Quinlan; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. Mary graduated from Nazareth Academy in 1931 and worked for Eastman Kodak for 30 years. She was a lifelong volunteer having served as a Gray Lady during WWII. Later she volunteered for the March of Dimes, the Girl Scouts of America and St. Mary's Hospital for over 25 years. She celebrated life everyday. The family is very grateful for the care at the Friendly Home and the Support of friends and family. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Tuesday 4-7 PM. Mary's funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10 AM at St. Thomas More Church, 2617 East Avenue. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to the Isaiah House or a charity of your choosing.
