Obituary of Gussie Collett

Gussie Collett of Penfield was born September 9, 1916 in Staten Island, NY and died peacefully at age 97, on February 15, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband, James; daughter, Eileen Gillium; brother, Julius Warga; sister, Irene Peck. Gussie is survived by her daughter, Diane Nientimp; son-in-law, Ralph Gillium; grandchildren, Karen (Matt) Caton, Stacey (John) Swartz, Chrissie (Rodney) Baumgartner, Ronnie (Kim) Wuenstel, and Jenny (Dave) Sauter; nieces, Barbara (Tom) Lucas and Denise Brasser; 11 great-grandchildren, Nicki, Ben, Lexi, Tyler, Andrew, Hope, Ian, Aly, Anthony, Molly, and Collin. Gussie enjoyed her family, dancing, sewing, crafts, bowling and casinos. Gussie’s family would like to thank the staff at Aaron Manor for their wonderful care and compassion in her last year of life. No prior calling. Gussie’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 10 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield, with a reception to follow. Private Interment.
