Obituary of Mary Jane Beck

Mary Jane “Betty” Beck of Penfield passed away December 7, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband, Eldridge in 1990. She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Michael) Gage of Penfield; sons, James (Denise) of Tomball, TX, and William (Donna) of Lake Charles, LA; her grandchildren, Michael (Nancy), Timothy (Deanna), James (Amy), Joseph (Summer), Lauren and Billy; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, including Michael (Leslie) Morgan. Mary was born in Somerset, PA in 1923. She lived and worked there until 1946 when she married Eldridge and moved to Hollywood, CA. After her 3 children were born there, the family moved to Penfield in 1959. Mary was an active bowler, a stained glass artist and helped make the stained glass windows that adorn the Penfield Methodist Sanctuary. An active traveler, she visited almost every state in the country. A Service of Remembrance on Wednesday (12/11), 10:30 AM at Penfield United Methodist Church, 1795 Baird Road.
