Obituary of William Harman Credit
William Harman “Harm” Credit of Penfield, March 8, 1923-Nvember 7, 2013. He peacefully passed away at 90 years young, with his family at his side. He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Arvilla; sons, Scott (fiancée Marcy), Mark (Linda) and Ron (Deborah) Credit; grandchildren, Adam Credit, Brett (Disa) Pevear, Brooke Pevear, Amy (Matt) Bukowski, Emily Credit, Lisa and Barbara Giudice; great-grandchildren, Chelsea (Chad) Collier, Morgan and Abi Pevear and Kinley Zaretsky; great-great-grandchild, Cayden Collier; as well as loving extended family and numerous friends.
Harm grew up in Avon and was a proud WWII Veteran serving in the South Pacific. Forty-five years ago, after retiring from Eastman Kodak Fire Department, Harm and Arvilla started Hamco Fastener Company, growing the company from their basement into branches in Rochester and Buffalo. Harm and Arvilla traveled extensively, and enjoyed many happy years in Boynton Beach, FL with good friends.
Please join the family at the First Baptist Church of Penfield, 1962 Penfield Rd., Sunday 1PM for a Memorial Service, with reception immediately following. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Harm, those wishing may contribute to the First Baptist Church or Honor Flight Rochester, PO Box 23591, Rochester, NY 14602.
