Obituary of Doris Mildred Christie

Doris M. Christie of Webster, formerly of Mendon and Penn Yan died October 11, 2013 at age 84. Predeceased by her son, William; daughter, Janet; son-in-law, Robert Marshall; granddaughter, Ashley Farr. Doris is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Marshall, Marion (Bill) Farr and Patty (Dale) Hunt; sons, Rick (Mary) and John (Cindy); 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Marion Murrer; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Doris was a member of The League of Women Voters, a nursery school teacher, Girl Scout leader and a lover of animals especially horses, dogs and cats. She spent her happiest years living in the country. Friends are invited to call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Penfield Friday October 18th from 4:00-7:00pm. A Memorial Mass for Doris will be held Saturday, 9:30am at St. Ann’s Community at Cherry Ridge Chapel, 900 Cherry Ridge Blvd., Webster. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider the Ontario County Humane Society in her memory.
