Obituary of Helen M. Post

Helen M. Post of Fairport passed away September 24, 2013 at age 86. She is survived by her loving sister, Ruth, who was her best friend. She is also survived by many cousins who live in the New England states. Helen was predeceased by her parents, Kathryn and Arthur of Burlington, VT and by brothers, Arthur, Jr. and John. She was a graduate of University of Vermont, and also received a degree at Albany State in Library Science. From 1953-1974 she was librarian at Penfield Central School District, eventually becoming Library Department Chairwoman. A great reader and enthusiastic traveler, she loved to paint watercolors, shich revealed her love of nature and her skill depicting color. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Rd., Sunday 11-12 Noon, where a Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, she suggests giving donations to a foundation of your choice. Helen’s suggestion was Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at RIT, 50 Fairwood Dr. Rochester, NY 14623 (originally The Athenaeum) where she spent many happy hours.
