Obituary of Michael P. Sarli

Penfield, NY - Michael Paul Sarli, “Papa”, 91, passed away peacefully June 18, 2018 at the Hildebrant Center with his family.  Michael left this life the way he lived it, “he did it all his way”.  Michael served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.  Michael’s full and wonderful life was filled with love for his family, his many friends and his most beloved bride, Mary A Sarli.  Michael wanted everyone to know that him and Mary “touched every base, and in this life, he had it all- the passion, the love, the friendships and all the memories that made him complete.”

Michael, “Papa”, is survived by his daughter, Helene Schwartz and his granddaughters, Michele and Nichole Schwartz, great-granddaughter, Michelena Schwartz, his nephew David Lippa and his wife Alida Lippa, special friends Nick, Cathy, Shirley, George and Jennifer.

Instead of a funeral service, Michael prefers for his family and friends to honor him by thinking of all the great memories we have of him, including memories of some of his favorite places to work: the Wintonaire, the Black Angus and the Rio Bamba.  Michael also loved his many vacations with Mary and his family to West Palm Beach, Fairhaven, Hawaii and his birthplace New York City.  Lastly, Michael wants us to remember all the fishing and golfing trips he loved and most precious to him, all of the holidays he shared with his family. We will all remember his incredible sense of humor, unique fashion style and of course, his linguine and clam sauce!

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in his memory to the Hildebrant Hospice Center, 2653 Ridewayway Avenue, Rochester, NY, 14626.
