Obituary of John R Schumacher

John R. Schumacher of Penfield, NY passed away August 24, 2013, at the age of 81. He was predeceased by his parents, John W. and Jessie (Vandenberg) Schumacher, brother, Burton Schumacher and sister, Jessie Taylor. John is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Loraine; brother, Peter (Myra) of Webster, NY; four sons, John P., James (Deborah); David (Debra) and Brian; grandchildren, John W., Mark, Taylor, Kailey and Travis; many nieces and nephews. John served in the U.S. Army, Augsberg, Germany, was an Elder at Memorial Presbyterian Church and a tireless advocate for community youth. He retired from Xerox after 27 years, was a business entrepreneur, Past President of RAPA and served on the Boards of Heritage Christian Home Foundation and Rochester Christian School Foundation. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Friday, September 6th 3-7 PM. John’s Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 7th 2 PM at Memorial Presbyterian Church, 650 Merchants Road. Private Interment.
