Obituary of Owen Raymond Cogan

Owen R. Cogan "Ray" of Penfield, entered into rest on March 23, 2018 at the age of 79 after a courageous battle with cancer. Ray was born on July 27, 1938 in Ireland (County Kildare). Ray is predeceased by his parents, Kathleen and Hugh Cogan; and his wife, Maureen "Bernie" Cogan. Ray is survived by nieces, Maureen Fallon, Wales, UK, Carol Fallon, CA; along with many other nieces and nephews; close friends, Kathy Hughes and Phil Walter, Diane Cassidy Shutter, Dave Rivello and Eddy Bertrand. Ray was an electrician by trade and was a member of Local 13 IBEW. Ray will be remembered for his love of history, current events, sports and his keen sense of humor. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass for Ray, Monday March 26, 2018, 10AM at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to UR VNS Hospice Unit.
