Obituary of Carol R. Doty

Carol R. Doty of Penfield passed away August 20, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence “Brud”; companion, Sky; and son-in-law, Paul. Carol is survived by her brother, Philip “P. D.”; her children, John (Nina), Jim (Linda), Beth (Phil) and Meg (Glen); grandchildren, Matt, Emma (Brandon), Amy, Kyle (Megan), Theo, Carolyn, Eric, Jonelle, Adam, Erin (Chris), Tyler, Ryan and Brennan; great-grandchildren, Logan and Mia; nieces, Brette (Kyle) and Pam (Basilio); nephews, Bill (Anita), John (Judy) and Alan (Tina). Carol was a graduate of the University of Rochester and an active volunteer for Literacy Volunteers, Lifespan and especially the Susan B. Anthony House. She loved her garden and her pets dearly, read voraciously, and travelled extensively to 5 continents. A private celebration of her life is planned for a later date.
