Obituary of Nancy G. McCahill

Nancy (Keeler) Gordon McCahill, 76, of Penfield, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, after a short bout of pneumonia. A celebration of Nancy's life will be held Saturday, February 10, at 11:00am at the Country Club of Rochester. Lunch to follow. Please note that the Club does not allow jeans. Nancy was born in Rochester to Gladys (LeBeau) and Orville Keeler on July 26, 1941. She attended Monroe High School. She went on to own franchises of Barbizon Modeling School in Rochester, and Estelle Compton Modeling School in Wilmette, IL and Minneapolis, MN. After returning to Rochester in 1985, she worked as a salesperson for Lauers, Ruby Gordon, Flanigans, and Value City Furniture. Nancy is survived by her children—Gregory & Virginia (Walsh) of Pittsford, Geoffrey & Sayeeda (Kibria) of Philadelphia, and Gerette & Christopher Braunsdorf of Shaker Heights, OH; her sisters—Kathleen Martinelli of Olean and Mary Jude Ostrander of Fairport; grandchildren—Maximilian, Emma, Anna, & William (Gregory), Keisha, Siani, Justin, Dior, & Gigi (Geoffrey), Madeleine & Eleanor (Gerette); as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dear friend and twice-daily visitor, Rick Valdez, who provided her with so much comfort and love in her later years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers-in-law, Thomas Martinelli and David Ostrander.
