Obituary of Janette M. Tedesco

Janette Tedesco of Penfield NY died July 27, 2013 at age 93. Janette is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Rudolph; 5 children, Madeleine (Eduardo) Antonio, Cecelia (Andrew) Gallant, Lillian Tedesco, Jeanmarie Uhl and Ted (Shawn) Tedesco; 10 grandchildren, Timothy (Lynn) O’Keefe, Colleen O’Keefe, Christine (Timothy) Emerson, Graham Cooper, Brian (Lori) Phillips, Jeanine (Scott) Eden, Rachael (Mike) Williams, Nathan Nebbia, Daniel and Jessica Uhl; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Lillian (Jim) Scarantino; many nieces, nephews and friends. Janette was born in Rochester NY and graduated from Nazareth Academy. Janette met her husband Rudy on a blind date and they wed when Rudy was discharged from the Seebeas after WW II. For many years Janette worked in her parent’s grocery store. She matured into a strong, intelligent business woman and used her knowledge to develop Gregory Food Center. Soon her husband joined her in her venture and they operated the business for 37 years. Together they raised five devoted children. Janette was a warm and caring person who dedicated herself to her family, friends and business throughout her life. She and Rudy were world travelers and were always enthusiastic about new adventures. We will miss her greatly. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton and Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road on Wednesday, July 31st from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Janette’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
