Obituary of Andrew B. Britt

Andrew Bartlett Britt Jr. of Penfield passed away peacefully on May 26, 2016 at the age of 91. He is survived by his loving spouse of 67 years, Phyllis; 5 children, Andrew, Stephen (Diane), Mark (Maria), Christopher (Karen) and Martha; 4 grandchildren, Darcy Johnathan, Joshua and Michael. Andy grew up in Saugus, MA as the son of a boat builder and enrolled in the University of Maine at the age of 16, graduating in 1948. He served as a Captain in the Marine Corps in WWII and was recalled to active duty in the Korean War while in graduate school at Harvard. He led a Manufacturing Engineering Department during his 30 year career at Kodak and was a man of many talents. He enjoyed woodworking, sculpting, antiquing, poetry, literature and the occasional bad pun. He was a lifelong resident of Penfield, NY and a member of the First Baptist Church of Penfield. A Celebration of Life is planned for Wednesday, 1 PM at the First Baptist Church of Penfield, 1862 Penfield Road, In lieu of flowers please consider the Memorial Fund of the First Baptist Church of Penfield in his memory.
