Obituary of Laurie A. Taylor

Laurie Ann Taylor (Collier), 67, of Rochester, NY, passed away on January 23, 2024. Laurie was born on June 16, 1956, in Rochester, where she spent her entire life. 

 

Laurie is preceded in death by her father Donald Collier, mother Margaret Collier, mother-in-law Gloria Charles, and father-in-law Ron Charles.

 

Laurie is survived by her devoted husband, Fred Charles, son, Robert Taylor(Jodie), daughter, Tiffany, son, Jamie (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Ian, Aiden, Estella, Uriah, Zac and Landon. She also leaves behind her siblings, Tom Collier and Sue Cook (Steve), her sister-in-law, Pam Houseknecht (Rob), brother-in-law, Steve Charles (Patty), best friend, Joanne Cocchi, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

A soul passionate about music, she found joy in the melodies of life. Her love for camping at the Thousand Islands and tending to a garden that radiated beauty, showcased her vibrant spirit. Laurie's memory is internally engraved in the hearts she touched with her warmth, kindness and contagious laugh. May she rest in peace surrounded by echoes of the melodies she loved.

 

Calling hours for will be held on February 1, 2024, from 4-7 pm at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home located at 1704 Penfield Rd, Penfield, NY 14526. Services will be held the following day at Jennings Funeral Home on February 2, 2024, at 11am.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Verona Street Animal Society at 184 Verona St, Rochester, NY 14608. Contributions can also be made online at www.vsas.org. Your generosity will help support the welfare of animals in need, a cause dear to Laurie's heart.

 

Laurie will be deeply missed by her family and friends. May her memory be a blessing to all those that knew her.
