Obituary of Kathleen R. Agne

Kathleen R. Agne, 66, of Glenville,NY, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

Born March 7, 1957, in Rochester, NY.   She was the daughter of the late Raymond F. and Francis J. McGrath.

Kathy attended Penfield High School, where she met Dennis, the love of her life. They married in 1978 and raised their two daughters together in Ontario, NY. She had a passion for gardening, and could often be found tending to her flowers through the summer months. When she wasn’t pulling weeds, she loved to crochet. Every new baby she caught wind of was welcomed with a hand made blanket from her. Becoming a grandma was her pride and joy, and she was blessed with four wonderful grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Dennis, two daughters, Michelle (Peter) Gailey of Mesa, AZ, and Stephanie (James) Carpenter, of Glenville, NY, and four grandchildren, Colton, Abigale, Fox and Kennedy. She is also survived by her sister, Deborah Beardsley, and three brothers, Richard (Bernice) McGrath, James McGrath and Thomas (Michele) McGrath, and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Kathy is predeceased by her parents, and one brother, Raymond “Paul” McGrath.

Calling hours will take place Sunday, September 3rd at Jennings Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Rd. Penfield, NY 1452 from 11AM to 2PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in Kathy's name.
