Obituary of Mary Barron Sams

Mary Carleen Barron-Sams 67 of Rochester, NY passed away on July 19, 2023 in Waterview Heights nursing home.

Calling hours will be held at Jennings Nulton & Mattle funeral home in Penfield on August 4, 2023 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm.

Mary was born in Cortland, NY to Dennis and Rosemary Barron on April 7, 1956. She went to high school at St Mary’s Catholic School in Cortland and graduated in 1974 from Cortland High School. She went on to work as an Administrative assistant at Cornell University. She enjoyed cross country skiing, spending time with her Son and her Boyfriend Ed, Travelling to the Adirondacks and volunteer work. 

She is survived by her son Pierce Sams and daughter in law Laura Smith of Macedon, NY, her boyfriend Ed Karuth of Rochester NY, her brother Stephen Barron of Franklin Lakes, NJ, her sister Roberta Gabriel of King Ferry, NY, her brother Dennis Barron of Ocala, FL, Her nephews Alex, Brian, Max, James and Austin, and her nieces Kyla and Brigitte. She is preceded in death by her parents Rosemary and Dennis Barron and her sister Sharron Barron.

Donations can be made in her honor to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
