Obituary of Ruth E. Adkin

Ruth Emma Adkin Kettering, Ohio: Age 96. Formerly of Rochester, NY, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the Liberty Retirement Community in Dayton. Ruth was born on November 27, 1912 in Rochester, NY to Frank Russell and Blanche (Warner) Peck. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Russell; her son, James; her sisters Edna Mann and Gladys Wiard Sharp and her brother , James Peck. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Ford and her husband, Bruce; three grandchildren, Kimberly Adams of Columbus, Ohio, Lisa Homer of Springboro, Ohio and Wendy Putnam of Wake Forest, NC; five great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Ryan, Andrea, Elizabeth and Hannah; brother, Russell Peck; daughter-in-law, Brenda Simpson and her daughter Annie; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Rd., Penfield, Monday 10am-11am Monday, where Ruth's Funeral Service will follow at 11 am. Interment, Riverside Cemetery.
