We remember Kathryn “Kay” Loretta Twomey, lovingly known as “Grandma Doodles,” who passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on August 30, 1942, in Erie, PA. Kay lived a life filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable stories that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Kay was a proud and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Zimmerman; her daughters, Natalie Twomey, Beth Zanni, and Kathleen “Kathy” Arlauckas; and her beloved grandchildren, Dane Arlauckas, Brittany (Ryan) Evarts , Cody Zanni, Tess Arlauckas, Blake Zanni, Jackson Twomey, and Jose Arlauckas. She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren, Elijah and Muneera, along with many extended family members and dear friends. 

Kay brought energy and warmth everywhere she went. She was charismatic, spunky, witty, and deeply loving — the kind of person who could light up a room with her smile and quick sense of humor. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren above all else and never missed an opportunity to share a story, a laugh, or words of encouragement.

She enjoyed cheering on the Buffalo Bills and the New York Yankees, spending time at the lake, traveling, and relaxing with a cold beer surrounded by friends and family. Kay also loved her years working at Wegmans, where her personality and kindness made lasting impressions on coworkers and customers alike.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Tuesday, June 2, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Jennings Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home. 1704 Penfield Road Penfield, NY. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m. , All Season's Chapel, White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford, NY.

Kay’s laughter, stories, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
