Heidi Jo Abbott, passed away May 13, 2026 surrounded by the love of family and friends. Heidi was a devoted daughter, caring companion, and loyal friend whose kindness and warm spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Heidi was preceded in death by her father, Tom Abbott; her brother; Tim Abbott; her grandparents, Lewis and Julia Hyman; Eleanore Loncasty and Harry Abbott; and her beloved furry companions, Monty (cat), Ginger and Tazzie(dachshunds).

She is survived by her loving mother, Alice Abbott; her brothers Tom Abbott (Cheryl) and Chris Abbott (Bobbie); her companion, John Altizio; along with many extended family members and dear friends who fill forever cherish her memory.

Heidi shared a special bond with her father, and loved accompanying him to work whenever she could. The two were truly best buddies. When her mother returned home after receiving care for meningitis, Heidi stepped in with love and dedication to ensure she was cared for every day. Her devotion to family was unwavering. For over 20 years, Heidi

worked in the mortgage business where she was known for her easygoing personality, strong work ethic, and willingness to always go above and beyond, and always got more of her share of work done. She earned the respect and admiration of coworkers throughout her career.

Heidi loved cooking and baking.She enjoyed football, NASCAR, and had a special appreciation for beautiful flowers. Family meant everything to her, and she carried on cherished traditions by bringing loved ones together for holidays, birthdays, and special occasions, just as her mother always had. Above all, Heidi had a heart of gold. Her kindness, strength, and loving spirit wil be deeply missed, especially by her mother, who cherished her beyond words. Though gone from this life, Heidi's love and memories will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held 4:00PM - 7:00PM on Tuesday, May 26, at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home (1704 Penfield Road, Penfield NY). 

An hour of visitation will be held 12:00PM - 1:00PM on Wednesday, May 27, at the funeral home. A service will follow at 1:00PM. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery will follow the service.
