Janice Spear Odenbach of New Smyrna Beach Florida, formerly of Penfield died May 5th 2026 at age 78. 

Janice was born February 5 1948 in the Bronx and raised on Long Island, New York, a daughter of Joseph and Helen Holt.   She was predeceased by husband Richard F. Odenbach in 1999.  She is survived by 2 sons, Richard J. Odenbach(Christy Odenbach) and Joseph M. Odenbach(Barbara Odenbach), 6 grandkids, Richard R Odenbach, Joseph J Odenbach, Chelsie Mae Odenbach, Savannah H Odenbach, Hayley Glynn(John Glynn), Julia Kuhn, and great grandson, Austin James Kuhn.  Janice was a loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a graduate of Parsons College in Iowa, majoring in accounting.  Janice lived in New Smyrna Beach, Florida and spent her summers in Old Forge, New York. She was the owner of Continental Travel for many years. She truly enjoyed shopping, especially with her granddaughter, Chelsie. She had many friends in New York and in Florida and spent a lot of time playing Bridge with many of her friends in Florida. She enjoyed Kayaking in Old Forge on the Big Moose River.   She was a very dedicated fan of football, especially the Buffalo Bills!!   She was very kind hearted, very social and loved animals.

Family and friends are invited to visitation for Janice on Friday, May 29th from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home, 1704 Penfield Road, Penfield. Janice's Funeral Service and burial in Oakwood Cemetery will be held privately.
