His life work was at SUNY at Oswego where he retired as Vice President of Student Affairs after over three decades of service. While at SUNY Oswego, he impacted numerous students lives through his leadership, overseeing building of student housing, mentoring and advocating for students daily, with the realized goal of fostering an exceptional University experience. His passions included attending to his lakeside property and gardens, nature walks, attending performing art events, photography, collecting, and sunsets. His work ethic was on display daily as he tended to whatever nature brought to his day on the beautiful shores of Lake Ontario.
