Allen W. Pastorell Obituary
Allen (Al, “Goofy”) Wayne Pastorell, 90, passed away on March 27, 2026, at the Vincent House in Wayland, NY. Born in 1935, Al lived a long, full life defined by devotion—to his family, his community, his country, and the animals he loved so deeply.
A proud veteran, Al served honorably during the Korean War. His beloved dog “Lucky” famously saved his life during his service, a story he carried with him for the rest of his days. His final companion, “Napoleon,” remained faithfully by his side. Every animal that lived with Al thrived under his care, often living far longer than expected—a testament to the love he poured into them.
Al was married to his wife, Judy (“Pooch”), for 61 years and was a devoted father to his son, Scott. In his younger years he loved playing baseball and remained a loyal San Francisco 49ers fan throughout his life.
A Master Carpenter and longtime member of the Carpenters Union, Al contributed to countless projects across Rochester—so many that nearly anywhere you go, there’s surely a piece of his craftsmanship still standing. He was active in his church, the Jaycees, and several community organizations, always putting others before himself.
Though he carried a serious demeanor, Al consistently put others before himself and was known for his quiet generosity and genuine kindness.
Al will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In his memory, donations may be made to Lollypop Farm, an organization he proudly supported.
