Barbara Griggs Beaulieu

passed away on March 23, 2026.

She was predeceased by her parents, Jane L. Griggs and William H. Griggs; her husband, David A. Beaulieu; her brother, Paul Griggs; her son, Brian E. Laurent Sr.; and her beloved puppy, Nellie.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Jennifer S. Laurent; her stepdaughters, Laurie Beaulieu and Nicole Lang (Daniel); her brother, James Griggs (Francis); her sisters, Elizabeth Dever (Daniel) and Margaret Kirchhoff (Douglas); her sister-in-law, Lorraine Griggs; her grandchildren, Brian and Arianna Laurent; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Barbara was an extraordinary needlepointer and a true artist, creating ornaments, pictures, and pillows that became art, always adding to her craft with new stitching techniques and sharing them with those she loved most. She had a love of reading and fine teas, always enjoying tea and sweets with her friends, family, and stitching group. She was also known for her baking—especially her treasured tradition of making marble cake each year for her son and grandson. Her warmth, humor, creativity, and thoughtfulness touched everyone who knew her. She will be missed beyond words and will continue on in our hearts.

Services will be held at the All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, New York, on May 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, Barbara’s memory may be honored through acts of kindness and love, with donations to the Rochester Regional Hospice, the Lollypop Farm, or the Friendly Home.
