Philomena J. Giambrone Obituary
Philomena Mascitti Giambrone passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her children. She was born Philomena Joan Mascitti on November 10, 1935, in Rochester, New York, to Venanzio and Quintina Mascitti.
Raised in a proud Italian American family in Rochester, Philomena carried with her a deep sense of family, resilience, and determination that shaped the way she lived her life and raised her children.
Philomena was a determined and devoted mother who worked tirelessly to provide a better life for her children. Through perseverance and hard work, she built a career at Xerox Corporate Headquarters, rising from a position as a security guard to become an executive secretary — a journey that reflected both her resilience and her deep commitment to her family.
She is survived by her children: Jack (Vicki) Giambrone of Dayton, Ohio; Joanne (Todd) Rath of Penfield, New York; Mark (Wendy) Giambrone of Columbus, Ohio; Michael (Kelly) Giambrone of Fairport, New York and Vincent Giambrone, of Penfield, New York. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Quintina (Russ) Kline, Marina Giambrone, Nicholas Giambrone, Marco Giambrone, Phillip Giambrone, Claudia Giambrone, Mickayla Rath, and Sophia Rath, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Ryker and Mae Kline. Philomena is also survived by her beloved sister-in-law, Sue Mascitti, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Angela Sansone; her brothers, Joseph R. Mascitti, and Venanzio A. Mascitti; and Giacomo Giambrone Sr., the father of her children.
Her greatest accomplishment was the family she built and the enduring example of strength and determination she left behind. Philomena will be remembered for her strength, her devotion to family, and the example of perseverance she set for those she loved.
