Margaret Mary (Adams) Guest, born on August 8,1934, entered into her eternal home on January 15, 2026, at age 91. Margaret is predeceased by her parents, John B. Adams and Mary (Matochik) Adams; husband, Dr. T. Paul Guest; brother, John B. Adams III; sisters, Barbara Ferguson and Helen Donnelly. Margaret is survived by her sister, Mary Kemp of Webster, NY; as well as aunts, Kathryn McSweeney of Webster and Helen Boyer of CA; her husband Paul's nieces, Marci Carey and Ann Carey of FL; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

Margaret was born in Potsdam, NY, the oldest daughter of John and Mary Adams. She was a 1952 graduate of Potsdam High School. She went on to earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from SUNY Potsdam. For 31 years, Margaret was an elementary school teacher - a profession she loved. She taught in Huntington, NY; Pleasanton, CA; and in the Brighton Central School district, Rochester, NY. As an aide, she studied early childhood education in Oxford and Leicestershire, England, as well as in Virginia and Maryland. The knowledge she gained during that time informed and enriched her teaching practice.

In retirement, she and her husband, Paul, enjoyed their residences in Stuart, FL, and Rochester, NY. They traveled to many countries, took cruises, loved golfing, boating, politics, reading, and entertaining friends. Above all else, Margaret showed a loving and caring devotion to her family, her Catholic faith, and her country.

Margaret was an active member of St. Thomas More Church of Rochester, NY, and St. Joseph's Church of Stuart, FL.

Per Margaret’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11AM, on Thursday, January 29, at St. Thomas More Church (2617 East Ave, Rochester. NY). Interment at Holy Ghost Cemetery (Gates, NY) will be held at a later date.
