Beverly A. Piccarreto Obituary

passed away peacefully after a brief illness on her 84th birthday, January 11th, 2026, in Rochester, NY. Beverly was born and raised in Rochester and worked as an educational interpreter for the deaf. She earned a bachelor's degree in Art History from Nazareth College, and a master’s degree in Educational Interpreting from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at RIT.


Predeceased by her husband, Dr. Richard M. Piccarreto. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Lindsay Erickson (Jeffrey Hershberger) of Pittsford, NY, and her son, Richard R. Piccarreto (Lynne Fountain) of Stow, MA.

Beverly was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Ralph and Lucille Alparone of Boca Raton, FL, and is survived by brother, Ralph Alparone and his wife, Aprile, of Tampa, FL and her sister Mary Lou Metzger, of Boca Raton, FL.

Beverly (‘G-ma’) will be missed by her grandchildren, Robert Carey and James Rosenbauer of West Roxbury, MA, Kayla Piccarreto (Rahim Muhammad) of Watertown, MA and their mother, Dorothy Carey of West Roxbury, MA. Beverly was known as ‘GG-ma’ to her great-grandson, Kaimani Piccarreto of Watertown, MA.

Also heartbroken at her loss are grandchildren, Taylor Abbott (David Emrich) of Greece, NY, and Nathan Erickson (Ari Woodard) of Rochester, NY, as well as Nathan’s father, William Erickson of Pittsford, NY. She leaves behind nieces, Amy Spadoni and family of Webster, NY; Crissy (Mark) Cohron and family of Wellington, FL; Morgan (Chase) Welt and family of Tampa FL; and was predeceased by nephew, Mark Piccarreto of Rochester, NY.

Beverly was a member at both Penfield and Locust Hill Country Clubs and loved playing golf, tennis, backgammon and bridge with friends. She was an avid Bills fan since their inception in 1960 and discovered fantasy football in her eighties.

Per Beverly’s wishes, the family will not be holding funeral services, and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Rochester’s National Kidney Foundation.
