Christine R. Vandervoort R.N.

Chris Vandervoort of Rochester and Penfield died on January 10, 2026. Chris was born on October 26, 1950, and was predeceased by her parents, Sidney and Dorothy A. Vandervoort; and her brother, Neil Vandervoort.

She is survived by her siblings, Dorothy "Dot" M. Vandervoort and John (Siobhan) Vandervoort; nephew, Sean (Jodi) Vandervoort; niece, Meaghen (Mike) Korbel; and great-nieces, Elizabeth, Paige, Aubree, and Adalee. 

She worked in a variety of capacities in Rochester and Henrietta, finally as an R.N. with Lifetime Care before retiring. 

She had a lifelong passion for horses; owning three herself (Sweetheart, Snobs Fool, and Lacy). Early in her 50 plus years of horsemanship, she was recording secretary for W.N.Y.D.A. and assisted with numerous dressage events in the area.

She also loved her pet dogs and cats, bird watching, hiking, and skiing.
