Peter D. Seidel Obituary

Peter D. Seidel

Friday, January 2,2026, age 61.

Pre-deceased by his aunts and uncles, Frank Sanza, Bill & Mary Seidel, and Eileen Seidel; father-in law, Tim White. He is survived by his wife, Christina; daughter, Victoria; parents, Marie & Donald Seidel; sister, Ann Ash (Dan); nephew, Josh Ash; niece Rachel Zebulske (Andy); grand nephew, Jamison Zebulske; grand niece Ryleigh Zebulske; aunts, Dorothy Sanza and Janet Walker (Bill); uncle, James Seidel; mother-in-law, Debbie Smith (Steve).

Peter was a graduate of Rush Henrietta, had a bachelors degree from SUNY Brockport, and a masters degree from Nazareth College.

After his graduation, he began his teaching career in the Clyde-Savannah school district, and retired after 36 years.

Besides being an award winning educator, as well as a mentor/teacher, Peter was an outstanding coach of several team sports, including boys and girls basketball. During his tenure at Clyde, his teams amassed hundreds of wins.

Friends and family have many many cherished memories of Peter. He was an excellent cook, a devoted family man, an avid reader who enjoyed golfing and attending high school sporting events. He particularly relished his many vacations to Myrtle Beach with his family.

Pete was an adept and spontaneous storyteller and was renown for telling them while playing golf; this, however, (much to the chagrin of playing partners) often extended the outing to an hour longer then normal. Last, but not least, he also possessed a tremendous sense of humor and, along with his uncles and his brother-in-law, was the main entertainment at many family gatherings.

He will be sorely missed.

A visitation will be held for Peter between 3:30PM - 5:30PM on Thursday, January 8, at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Rd. A service will follow at the funeral home.
