Dorothy Ann Shea was born on December 18, 1936, in Rochester, NY of parents Daniel J. and Mary A. Shea. She graduated from The Rochester School of Nursing in 1957 and became a registered nurse (RN). Her career was spent at Rochester General Hospital for 35 years. She became the head nurse for Pediatrics for many years, and in her later career, moved to Maternity until her retirement in 2002.
Once retired, she cared for her mother and aunt, who lived with her. Later, she moved in with her sister, Joan, to care for her while she was ill. In her later years, she moved in with her nephew and niece, Michael and Cindy, and became the “manager” of the home, always caring about her whole family. All her life, she was a caregiver and provider. Even while going through her last years, she took care of those around her, always the professional caregiver.
Dorothy enjoyed traveling with friends and family and celebrating life with her family. She is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
