Patricia L Bovard (nee Toner), age 91, left this life peacefully on June 29th, 2025, in Fairport, New York where she resided with her daughter, Yvonne, for the past 5 years. Patricia was born in Butler Township, Pennsylvania on March 19th, 1934, to Harry H. and Donna E (nee Keagle) Toner. Raised in Butler City, Pennsylvania, she met and married her childhood friend James A Bovard.

On September 27, 1952, they were married for 68 years until Jim’s passing on February 11th, 2020.

Jim and Patricia lived a troubadour’s life together, putting down roots in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, Idaho, California, Hawaii, and nearly 30 years in the Rochester New York area. 

She was a profoundly spiritual person always finding strength in her faith, harmony in nature and a soul-renewing tranquility in the outdoors. Together with her husband, Patricia was an early member and sponsor in the Cursillo Movement in Rochester. She shared many activities with her family such as camping, hiking, sailing, skiing, and swimming. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, knitting, needlework, computer technology, and football. She also had a sincere love of all types of music.

Patricia was pre-deceased by her husband James in 2020 and her daughter Jeaninne C. Logan in 2021. Patricia L. (Toner) Bovard formerly of Butler, Pennsylvania, is survived by her loving family of 5 children: J. David (Wilaiwan) Bovard (Thailand), Jonathan K. Bovard (NY), Yvonne R. Peters (NY), D. Mariette (William) Rowles (SC), and Michael P. Bovard (NY). There are also 7 Grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother-in-law William A. (JoEllen) Bovard.  

Calling Hours will be held at Jennings, Nulton and Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Rd, Penfield, NY 14526 on Sunday July 6th, 2025, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 39 Gebhardt Road, Penfield NY on Monday July 7th, 2025 at 11:00am. Interment immediately following at Oakwood Cemetery in Penfield NY.
