Edward Mark Stacklyn

8/22/1963 – 5/31/2025

Our most loved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend Edward Stacklyn went home to the Lord suddenly on Saturday, May 31st, 2025

Predeceased by son Joseph Gividen, sister Pamela Shuman, niece Melody Stacklyn, Parents Jean and Norman Stacklyn and Father in law John R Gividen

Ed is survived by his wife, Susan Gividen, his sons Ethan, Benjamin and Edward Stacklyn and his daughter EJ Gividen.

Brothers Peter(Betty), David(Sharon) sister Renie and brother in law Steve Shuman.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends and his beloved dog Bear

Ed most current job was assistant service manager at Oakmonte Apartment Homes in Webster NY. 

Ed loved to volunteer, especially at Boy Scout Camp Cutler in Naples, NY.  Along with his brother Peter, Ed did several reconstructions of current buildings at the site, as well as new builds.  He was always available to help in any way. 

Ed loved his family, especially his children and the “best thing that ever happened to him”, his wife Susan.  The family enjoyed camping along with Ed’s siblings and their annual trip to their “happy place”, Keuka Lake.  

Christmas and all holidays were especially important to Ed.  He was always making deserts for family holiday get-togethers.  

Calling hours for Ed will be at Jennings, Nulton and Mattle Funeral Home at 1704 Penfield Road in Penfield from 1-4 pm on Sunday, June 8th.  Ed’s funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 43 Gebhardt Road in Penfield Monday June 9th at 11:00 am with internment immediately following at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Ed will be buried next to his and Susan’s  beloved son Joseph, who passed away August 28th, 2024 at the age of 22.
