Obituary of Josephine C. Marini

Walworth. Josephine C. Marini on April 10, 2025 at age 90 at home with her family by her side.

Josephine was born on April 8, 1935, to the late Joseph and Carmella (Lenzi) Loury. 

Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Anthony L. Marini, whom she married at St. Jerome’s Church on January 5, 1957. They raised their family in Penfield and in 1979 purchased their cottage in Eagle Bay Park. They spent summers with family and friends at the cottage and winters enjoying snowmobiling a passion that has been passed on to their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Josephine enjoyed hosting the family for holidays and all enjoyed her cookies, desserts, and homemade manicotti.

Josephine is survived by her children, Peter and Patricia Marini, Toni Ann Marini, Michele Alden, and Michael and Tammy Marini; grandchildren, Anthony, Julie, Joseph, Christine, Nicholas and Jacquelyn Marini, Scott and Vanessa Hellinger, Katie and Tessa Parker, Anna and Stephen Sloan, Tyler and Emma Kubinski, Mikayla, and Adriana Marini; great grandchildren,  Joey and Jameson Hellinger, Amelia, Jace, Wyatt, Cooper, Nolan, and Madelyn Josephine Marini; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marie and John Teetsel, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Thursday, April 24, 4-7 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 11 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 43 Gebhardt Road. Entombment White Haven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in Josephine’s name to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, American Heart Association or the West Walworth Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., 3870 West Walworth Road, Macedon, NY, 14502.

The family would like to thank the Rochester Regional Hospital Home Care and Home  Hospice staff, especially Debbie, Lisa, and Maureen for their excellent care of Josephine.
