Obituary of Paul R. Mack

Paul R. Mack began his journey to his Heavenly Father on February 2,2025 at the age of 89. He had lived a life of joy, passion, and laughter, right up until the day he passed.

Paul is pre-deceased by his wife Marlene.  He is survived by his four children, Dennis (Brenda) Mack, Tim (Susan) Mack, Wendy (Mike)Muller, and Brian Mack.   Paul shared the later part of his life with his loved one Ann Gallagher and resided for over thirty years at their home in Penfield. Paul was blessed with grandchildren: Lesley, Jennifer, Dan, Amber, Kate and great grandchildren: Kayley, Ethan, Carol, Brooke, Bella, and Wyatt and a great great granddaughter Amelia Wendy.

Paul was born and raised in Dunkirk, NY.  He served in the US Army and was in charge of a radar station in Michigan in the 1950s.   After his service he worked at Gannett as a journeyman pressman and retired the same day the Times Union paper closed.

Paul had a passion for acting and was a member of the Penfield Players since 1967 during which time he won awards and well-deserved accolades.   Acting brought out his comedic talent, of which his sense of humor and timing excelled.   His knowledge and creativity were well respected for designing and building sets often with his best friend and brother-in-law Bob Marsh.   Paul’s great memory made him a “contender” every night while watching Jeopardy.  He was a great fan of the Buffalo Bills and Notre Dame football.  He played football and basketball in college and continued to be active playing tennis, and earning belts in Judo.

Paul was a positive influence on all who knew him.  If love could keep him here on earth, he would surely have lived forever!
