Obituary of Stanley J. Koziel Jr.

Stanley J. "Kim" Koziel Jr., 64, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 4, 2021. He was born in Auburn, NY but lived most of his life in East Rochester, NY. He graduated from Auburn High School in 1974. He also attended Florida State University. He was a Financial Advisor in Rochester.

He was predeceased by his parents, Theresa (Sebastian) and Stanley Koziel Sr. He is survived by his sister, Mary Jo (Peter) Bommersbach of Woodstock, GA; nephews, Nicholas (Kelly) and Jonathan Bommersbach; two great-nephews, Braylon and Cole Bommersbach; great-niece, Cora Bommersbach all of Woodstock, GA; several cousins and their families.

Stan was hard working, kind, caring and proud of his family and friends. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need or to strike up a conversation with anyone he met.

He was a loyal NY Mets fan from the time he saw his first baseball game at Falcon Park in Auburn. His loyalty to them never wavered. His other love was music. He enjoyed playing his guitars and recording and jamming with friends. He listened to music constantly and was a long time Beatles fan. Stan was an excellent cook. He enjoyed planning and preparing large feasts, especially his famous "Bubbacues". He always shared his dishes with family and friends. But his favorite spot to be was the beach in Cape Cod with wine in his hand. He looked so forward to his yearly retreat with his friends. It was his happy place.

Stan will truly be missed by his family, friends, clients and neighbors. RIP "Mr. Met"
