Obituary of Doris A. Parsons

Rochester: Passed away peacefully after a short illness on Saturday July 8th, 2017 at age 83. Doris is predeceased by her parents, Louis and Caroline Dambrowski; husband, Harwood "Woody" Parsons; brothers, Robert (Dorothy) and Donald (Corrine) Dambrowsi. She is survived by sons, Michael (Susan) and Erick (Lisa) Parsons; grandchildren, Richard (Jennifer), David (Kristine), Gabrielle, Aaron (Nastassia), Jason, Alexa, Jillian, and Todd (Victoria) Parsons. Doris was born in Rochester on 3/22/34 and was an active member of her catholic church, Holy Redeemer, throughout her childhood years. She met and married Woody Parsons in 1954 and they relocated to Penfield to start their life together. They both became active in the Penfield volunteer fire department. Doris was the retired Food Services Manager at Mercy High School. She enjoyed cards with her many friends, camping with her family, classic movies, and day trips to casinos. Friends may call Thursday, 4-8 PM at Jennings, Nulton and Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road. A memorial mass will be Friday, 10 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Road. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery.
