Obituary of Freeman C. Lewis

Penfield: Surrounded by family in the days preceding his passing on March 13, 2017. Predeceased by his wife, Lillian (Dodge) Lewis; son-in-law, Fredric Hirsch and his siblings. Survived by children, Reginald, Valerie Hirsch and Julie; grandchildren, Nathaniel (Megan), Zachary and Gabriel Hirsch; several nieces, nephews and in-laws. In WW II he served in the Army in Europe and the Pacific, when the Germans surrendered he was sent to the Pacific. He was in the Fleet in Toyko Bay when the Japanese surrendered and then went ashore to set up the occupation forces. He earned a degree in Engineering from Syracuse University and an MS in business from the University of Rochester. He held several positions in Engineering, Finance and IT at Taylor Instrument Co. and Xerox Corp. In retirement he was an avid tennis player for over 20 years.
