Obituary of John B. Tierney, Sr.

John B. Tierney, Sr. of Brighton passed away October 17, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eleanor; 5 children, John B. Jr. (Barbara), Mary Kay (Tom) Genthner, Patty (Jack) Masseth, Paul J. (Christine), Lynn (Chuck) Ferreira; 10 grandchildren, Jason (Lacey), Michael, Matt, Brian, Kyler, Meagan, David, Kian, Devon and Matthew; 2 great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Ethan; sister, Suzanne Tierney. John served as an usher at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Henrietta. He worked at Gleason Works for over 42 years and was a member of the Gleason Male Chorus. He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed by all. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of The Friendly Home for their loving care. No prior calling. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may direct donations to a charity of their choice.
