Obituary of Elly Melco

Elly Melco peacefully went to her Lord on August 19, 2016 at age 98. Elly was born near Izmir, Turkey in 1918 and grew up in Greece. She married Peter C. Melco and made her new life in Albany, NY. Elly loved God and was very active at St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church. The final chapter of Elly's life was shared in Rochester, NY where she enjoyed living with her son and his family for 3 years, and then with compassionate care at Kirkhaven Nursing Home. Elly is survived by her son, Nickolas (Catherine); grandsons, Konstantine and Evan (Lynsie) and great granddaughter, Veyda Mae, nieces, nephews and many loving friends. A private family funeral service was held for Elly.
