Obituary of Robert C. Stowell

Robert C. Stowell of Brighton died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 30, 2015. He was the son of the late Ernest B. and Ella (Wooley) Stowell. Bob was born January 19, 1926 in Saxtons River, VT. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marion (Blood) Stowell; son, Bruce (Rita) Stowell of Grants Pass, OR; and daughter, Susan (Al) Bradley of Penfield; Bob is also survived by 4 adoring grandchildren, Jessica Stowell of Ashland, OR, Alexander Stowell of Portland, OR, Michael Bradley of Rochester and Megan Bradley of Hoboken, NJ. He was predeceased by his beautiful daughter, Linda Stowell. He proudly served in the US Navy during WW II. Bob was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed spy novels and American history. He spent his career in the Commercial Insurance industry retiring as a Regional Vice President for Marsh & McClennan. Services were held privately.
