Thoughts from Sheila (Kilgras) Volpe

I was deeply saddened to receive the news of the death of a dear teacher and wonderful friend, Doris Peck. My grandchildren, Isabella and Bridget, and I visited Doris last summer while in the Rochester area. We were so happy to see her and spend quilty time together. For the benefit of her family, a little history lesson. Doris was my teacher at Webster High School 1949 -1952. 1967 my husband and I were looking for a home in Penfield. We bought 30 Hillcrest Drive and later learned the house was built by Elmer and Doris. We lived there very happily for 32 years. Doris and Elmer visited us and were as surprised as we were of the coincidence. Our deepest sympathy to her family, especially her niece in Australia whom she spoke of so fondly.
